I'm Kris!

31 year old, wife to my IT geek,  mama to three awesome girls.

I have an voracious appetite for books.  There is nothing better than curling up with a good book and tuning out the rest of the world.

From the time I was old enough to read on my own, my world revolved around books. I used to set goals to see how many books I could read.  I used to get mad when the library put limits on how many books you could take out at once, because I always finished way before we went back when the books were due.

I have two kidney children (to non kidney mama's, this means my children have kidney disease/defects) Books helped me keep my sanity through the hassle of a million and one doctor appointments, urology tests, MRI's, and finally the kidney surgery that gave my oldest daughter her life back. 

I dabble in writing, will it ever amount to anything, who knows, but it helps get my feelings out on paper. I did my first NaNoWriMo this year and validated at just over 59k words.  Amazed myself that I could do it.
